Love that my TI calculator can run (limited) Python, but a QWERTY keyboard would be nice, so I don’t have to type on my laptop first and transfer it! 🙃

“At Nvidia, the whiteboard is more than the primary form of communication at meetings. It represents both possibility and ephemerality—the belief that a successful idea, no matter how brilliant, must eventually be erased, and a new one must take its place.”

In 2009, I was baptized by Saint IGNUcius (Richard Matthew Stallman) of the Church of Emacs, proclaiming, “There is no system but GNU, and Linux is one of its kernels.”

As Saint IGNUcius himself warns: “taking the Church of Emacs (or any church) too seriously may be hazardous to your health.”

I don’t get why some people say “C/C++” like they’re the same thing. As far as I know, they’re two separate languages with different standards. Sure, C++ came from C, but it split off ages ago. I’m honestly curious about the reasoning behind it.

Wow! 1 petaflop FP4 and 128GB unified memory. But for now, I’ll stick with my Jetson for low-wattage robotics inference and RTX for both training and inference since I’m more into smaller models. Good progress so far seeing newer models benchmarks. nvda.ws/4fLyTm3

First time working on a PPA, and dealing with Aptitude + Snap is making dependency management tricky. I need the Zig compiler as a dependency, but it’s only available on Snap, not Aptitude. Should I build a PPA for Zig and use that as a dependency for the PPA I’m creating?

My weekend project:

✅ No need to connect to the internet.
✅ Energy-efficient: only requires 12 watts max including small monitor.
✅ Powerful: equipped with the AI accelerator chip Hailo-8L 13 TOPS, allowing the Raspberry Pi 5 CPU cores to be free for other tasks.
✅ YOLOv8

Haha, yep, that’s the same SoC I’ve got! Perfect! It’s just an SBC for messing around with RISC-V anyway, so I’m pumped to try the GhostWrite exploit on my LM4A. youtu.be/qrk8fj7re-s?...

Earlier this year, I purchased a RISC-V SBC:

Name: Lichee Pi 4A by Sipeed
SoC: Alibaba T-Head TH1520
Specs:
- RISC-V 64GCV, 4xC910 cores @ 2GHz
- 4 TOPS @ INT8 NPU
- 50.7 GFLOPS GPU
- 16GB 64-bit LPDDR4X-3733

Looking forward to seeing more advanced RISC-V SoCs available for purchase in 2025! 🙂
