Most Europeans aren't completely aligned with either the political right or the political left. In my view, if a pan-European identity is heavily politically biased, it won't be appealing. The temple of our identity (not just religions).

Europe does not need a double-hatted Superpresident, as proposed by Manfred Weber. A presidential system is alien to Europe. Instead we need a fully fledged parliamentary democracy, with full accountability and checks and balances. My blog:
