Telescope that can point itself and think about what it sees.
Just don’t blame *me*😤😄, I have always pursued if I wished anything

But you are not necessarily ‘a reliable narrator’ in assessing that (it is subjective, but your subjectivity has been clinically defined as overly harsh to the self)

Well then they can be very happy together🙃 (somewhere at a distance from me)

As I said many times, in my own worldview, if people are seeking to prove something it should be the existence & nature of their feelings, not some other metric (the rest is up to the nature/character of the other person)

Well not even the regressive people want *that*, at most they would want the graceful avian displays 🙃
..
As for the definition of masculinity, it’s Tom of Finland of course, right? 😄 idk, I have no definition, only particular individual cases I like or general things I don’t
December 14, 2025 at 3:20 PM
A gay club tends to be full of men all being rather indiscriminate & forward in their sexuality… I mean Tom of Finland is positive because of the joy & lack of shame, but it is not exactly striking at any tropes about masculine nature

There never was a demarcated space for platonic romantic connection. In theory anywhere, in practice it totally depends on the individuals

One should be going to the place with the best-made drinks then 🧐

That said, people have been kind of cruising in churches for as long as they have existed, but so too have some other people been bothered by that the whole time.
Same for gossip, showing off, etc.
December 14, 2025 at 2:21 PM
Different places have different cultural expectations for most people. It is part of the reason I never went to a nightclub (though I am still not at all devout🙃), because to me it would be pointless
December 14, 2025 at 2:16 PM
Even Christ did chase the money changers specifically out of the temple, ‘his father’s house’, which is interesting considering the omnipresence, but you know the ‘holiest of holies’ location in the temple existed too. Though the curtain was later ‘torn top to bottom’. Interesting ambiguity

The concept of a church building and in some cases the ritual of the service which they believe is a direct communion with god different than other times or places demarcates this in some people’s minds.
I am not saying your view is wrong, but devout ppl could well find it wrong
December 14, 2025 at 2:03 PM
People who go to church for religious reasons believe it is a special place, god’s house.
They believe he lives particularly there or they wouldn’t feel it was so vital to go particularly there.
And there are innocuous activities it would not be polite to do in a church.
So devout ppl may care🤷🏻‍♀️

Also if you had met him long ago online you probably still would not have wanted to interact, and if you met him today irl at work you still would have to/ would be ok with it.
So these parallel worlds have been the same for a while
December 14, 2025 at 1:48 PM
Yes, it’s really funny, when people use the term ‘women’s spaces’ for like a public restroom, I always wondered what exactly they think or wish went on there😂, that I have never been confronted by
December 14, 2025 at 1:32 PM
I think people in situations of despair already, will often then seek out harmfully-addictive ‘compensations’, not so much before. Maybe it is used as control but there is also huge demand because most people are not ready all the time to be in open rebellion.
So yes it is both expected & not ideal

A large part of their population was killed by novel diseases in a short time frame, almost everything was taken away from them and in many cases they were forcibly moved to somewhere they had never lived before.
That is a much harder situation

[If I want to be fully rigorous in the vein of yesterday I will note that preference here & thus ‘agency‘ too is part of fate, but anyway]
December 14, 2025 at 11:42 AM
The idea of looking at a ‘feed’ or autogenerated queue rather than just going directly to the personal pages or songs etc. etc. you think of and wish, is indeed a giving over of agency, but no one actually has to do that (and I don’t)
December 14, 2025 at 11:19 AM
I am not sure the derangement caused in some by use of social media can actually be called political in nature, even if that is the ‘content’ for many.
It is a derangement in the mode or style of interaction
December 14, 2025 at 10:44 AM
Some people define democracy purely as majority rule and so then either they are into it or they want ’consensus decision making’ and some level of ‘independent direct action’ instead.
That’s how you can get a book with an odd title like ‘From Democracy to Freedom’ w/o it being right wing
December 14, 2025 at 10:21 AM
The online sphere is both more and less authentic than irl interaction.
More authentic because there is less fear and restraint than irl, less authentic because isolation is solipsistic and irl human interaction does moderate us
December 14, 2025 at 10:15 AM
Within irl social norms including jobs, there are different spheres in which the political is or is not ‘welcome’. And this may fluctuate but where politics spread some do take umbrage.
I don’t think this is either good or bad, since the politics & the ‘default behavior’ could be anything
December 14, 2025 at 9:58 AM
I remember the literary Sherlock Holmes as a cocaine-taking, violin-playing obsessive & cultural romantic who is almost a Poe character, so if the performance is like that, maybe I should watch it sometime 😄

I think there are a few more-or-less born sadists and also a few people are truly non-malicious but dangerous predators of other people like with the affect of a bear going about its business
