I’m not sure this required a notification on my phone, given everything else going on with that regime.

I...don't have a landline.

I can't tell if this guy - a mayor! - is hopelessly corrupt or just genuinely too dumb to realise he's been pitched a lemon.

There is no universe in which electricity from H2 is cheaper than from overhead wiring. We can't even make long-distance H2 trains economical, let alone light rail.

Also I picked up a wide-angle pancake lens for my little MFT camera and it's super fun. I've been focused on the telephoto shots and not looking enough at the wide perspectives.

...no there's no metaphor in that, hush

Don’t remember the last time I saw the bay almost perfectly still.

This is actually some White Lotus nonsense. No way this should be as cheap as it was.

It’s easier when I’m drinking a negroni and enjoying this view, though.

Drawing out inner-north heartland and drawing in more affluent blue-ribbon parts of South Yarra & Prahran seems to have doomed him more than any great first-preference shift away from the Greens.

On the flip side, Samantha Ratnam might be able to take Wills next election.

So this is a weird thing: federal electorates don't include piers, but local government areas do. Can you have a registered address as a boat on St Kilda pier? If so do you not get to vote in the election?

Final photography course workshop was to Melbourne Uni, and of course it was raining 🤷‍♂️

(I took a bunch more, but I liked these two, and most of the others have identifiable people who haven't given me permission to share their photos online, so.)

I've been taking a photography course for the last few weeks and It's been really fun. This week was working on composition, and I only get to submit one for the course, but that means you all get subjected to my full shortlist.

This is the only car park I’ve seen that punishes fuel efficient vehicles by putting dedicated parking as far away from the entrance as possible.

Melburnians, please tell me I wasn’t the only person silly enough to try this place once. This closing message is completely unhinged lol.

Question for folks who know these things better than me:

Are the three highlighted questions kind of redundant? Pronouns I guess I can see being slightly different to gender (why tho), but the first and last question, if you actually believe people when they say it, are surely the same thing.

I should get a shirt that says "I went on holiday and all I got was this lousy virus".

Noosa is pretty though.

I’m so glad we’re accelerating climate change so AI can provide us with these sorts of keen insights. (Under a White Lotus S3 trailer)

And trying some B&W with a walk out in the country yesterday. (There's only so much time you can spend with the family on Christmas before you need a few minutes to touch grass.)

The shopping trip I went on to get a lens adaptor was a bust, unfortunately, but it was still a good chance to play around with the camera.
