It is one of my greatest anxieties as a solo person with no kids (I have lots of family though).

How would I ask for help when I needed it? Would I ask at all, or am I too stubborn?

I don't know.

They are the core of who I am. And that's why it's so terrifying.

I measure my sessions in how many tissues I use during.

It was a 2-tissue therapy day.

And being recognized for that, and praised for that, only reinforces that it's the "right" thing to do.

There is nothing healthy about the way I am externally motivated not to disappoint people, because all it means is that I ignore my needs to make sure others are cared for.
