Our mission has always been to celebrate indie comics with thoughtful reviews and quality coverage, and being quoted is a rewarding reflection of the standard we aim to uphold.

One of the best ways to ease into reading is to simply join your local library’s monthly book club.

For June’s discussion, my library chose Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin.

There are valid criticisms of Batman’s approach to crime—especially since he’s rich.

What I love about Absolute Batman, written by @ssnyder1835.bsky.social, is that the series captures what fans love most about the character. It isn’t the money, but the tenacity of fighting for a better tomorrow.

Reviewing comic books means my personal TBR list often takes a backseat…

However, I saw Commander Rao from @fellhound.bsky.social was a one-shot, and I’m glad I found time to read it. This issue was such a great example of intriguing world building and visually dynamic action.

This week’s Creator Spotlight is @seanmeighen.bsky.social, a comic book writer whose work is worth checking out!

Sean created “The Last Magician,” a that story brings readers into a whole new world of magic and fantasy that is equally haunting and heartfelt.

I knew Absolute Wonder Woman would be special after reading the first issue, but I cannot stress how epic this series has been.

The entire team masterfully captures Diana’s personal traits, giving beautiful quiet moments and bombastic action. It’s—well—wonderful!

I’m reading my press copy of “I Was a Fashion School Serial Killer,” and I’m psyched for people to check out this series because I actually yelled WTF reading this series premiere.

Kudos to @dougwagner13.bsky.social and the whole team. This series is wild!

Just finished reading Absolute Flash #1, and I gotta say:
The Absolute Universe from @dc.com is my favorite thing to come out of the big two as of late. Every series has been a testament to how empowered creators who respect the core components of DC characters can truly create something special.

Shout out to @bedrockcity.bsky.social for hosting @artofnickrobles.bsky.social for a signing of Absolute Flash from DC Comics!

I got a print & Issue #1 signed after hours of waiting. But Nick is always a kind to creator to meet, and was still all smiles even after 150+ people got signatures.
