I grew up on a farm in Sligo where we spent days picking buachallán (ragworth) from newly mown hay & burning it before the seed spread. I remember it listed on a notice in local post office as one of weeds that a landowner could be penalised for not controlling, as per the Noxious Weeds Act 1936
