The Kindle apps can be annoying, too. If I can buy wide, I'd much rather do that.

But I just got a new Fire Tablet because the old one refused to turn on. 🤷‍♀️ (I have Print Replica content in my library, technical books, which aren't available any other way, except in huge pbooks.)

It's funny how people who have lots and lots and lots of money never get accused of hoarding, though.

#AncestryHour I just checked Ancestry for the UK. Not much marked as new for the UK. I suppose I should look at the Military Service records and the Legal Exam Records just to get a feel for what the records look like.

I could go to findmypast to review prior finds & use Workspaces. 🤷‍♀️

#AncestryHour I am still puttering with cleanup tasks, looking at Ancestry hints, notifications from MyHeritage and Genealogy Bank and Newspapers-dot-com from saved searches, etc. And thinking about ways to clear out my computer. Need to look for storage during Black Friday sales.

#AncestryHour Take a screenshot of your home page every now and again so you'll have a visual reminder of what apps you have installed. More visually compact than the list of what apps Amazon (Google, Apple, etc.) says is in your app library.

#AncestryHour The annoying part: the old tablet was backed up, in the half-***ed manner that Amazon does automatic backups (of your Amazon content only). But you still have to go in and tell Amazon to redeliver the apps you already have in your library. Can't look at my old one. So my advice 🧵
