Im worried its “just snacks” and folks will complain

About 20. I think about 10 will show up, since its a Saturday. But Sailors dont RSVP, so could end up being 35.

I thought about a salad, corn pudding, Greek food, or funeral potatoes but it kicks off around 9 am. Also silverware.

For drinks: coffee, orange juice, cranberry juice, fruit infused water, sparkling cider, sparkling water. We can make virgin mimosas or spritzers.

Still debating if I want to get assorted pastries like mini muffin, mini croissants, mini strudels. And/or a cookie tray for the kids. Idk if I should NOT get mini quiches.

Also, we get real wrapped around the axle about what the dead would think about tearing down the wallpaper in their old house. They’re beyond caring. It’s ok to grow. Its ok to evolve. It’s ok for grief to scar over so much, you lose the details.

Life is a school and graduation is inevitable. Death and taxes is true. Blaming oneself is part of the lessons, sure. But please understand. They were meant to go. Learn from their exit.

My son was A LOT until about age 6 and it really wasn’t that bad? 6 under 7 in the house sometimes and it was not a living hell. More like “is this real life right now” or “eh. It’ll buff out.”

Hand to God, the main thing to remember is you are the best parents for your child. Your child is a whole and complete human being with likes and dislikes. Not a perfectly controlled bit of science. Things will be improvised sometimes bc everyone in this equation is human.

Sometimes I go up to very stressed looking E6 and above and tell that joke just to see if they’re paying attention.
