as someone with a learning disability, who does not use ai but recognizes this rhetoric-- the american educational system has been gutted for decades. we have a culture of didactic pedants who love to punch down. generations of people are afraid of their own ignorance and don't know who to turn to.

imo the most important thing art does is transmit a specific feeling, often abstractly, often small. in discussions with ai bros this almost never comes up. anyone can tell a story, but art transmits a moment. nothing replicates the emotion of these works except human intentionality (credit in alt)

genuinely the best fantasy series i've ever read. a lot of people dislike it bc it doesn't over-explain itself and it's very VERY dark, which is fair! but it means it doesnt get the buzz it deserves
