If ownership is trying this hard to cut costs (bc they can't consistently put a decent product on the court) why won't they just cut their losses, sell the team, & walk away with their billions?
Everything flows back to ownership. Ownership has directed Dumars to cut costs. Ownership is panicking they can't get sponsors, which fuel these fan nights and give away. Ownership uses one marketing team for two sports organization, meaning the Pels are the lesser priority during football.
