As REMs are where cell determination and cell differentiation takes place, your REMs are our embryos. (Not the seeds, that are differentiated organs to bear... the germ of meristems)

That said, we atheists do our best to drain Thanksgiving of religious significance. “Giving thanks” into our observance, it is by giving thanks to those who have actually helped us in some fashion, not to imaginary, all-powerful beings.
