Now justify US$100,000!!

I am not a lawyer, but my understanding is that if Congress enacts a LAW mandating the release, then the DOJ must comply. "Ongoing investigations" doesn't cut it as an excuse. The "Ongoing investigations" excuse only applies to FOIA requests.

I hope they sue for false arrest, assault, kidnapping, and a blatant violation of their constitutional rights. If ICE has to start paying out gigantic compensation over the actions of those ICEholes, maybe they will start imposing some discipline on them.

Totally agree, and excessive alcohol consumption can turn some people dangerous (not to mention drunk drivers). If that has happened to you, you have my heartfelt sympathy.
Still, when someone lights up a cigarette next to me, my clothes stink afterwards. My glass of wine does not harm anyone.

I sometimes go bush camping. When I come back I stink. No amount of deodorant can mask 4 days with no shower access.
But I make a point of not imposing myself on others. I go home, shower, and then I go to the store.
Smokers generally do not show consideration like that. That was my point.
