Hey #PitchYaGame ! Flux Commander is a shoot-em-up where you can bend time! Use it to get out of sticky situations, or when you need to pump extra many bullets into a boss ASAP!

Due to a mail service mishap, I didn't receive Debug #11 in my mailbox until this week, where they printed a screenshot from my game, Flux Commander, along with hundreds of other indie games. Still so proud of seeing this in a real magazine!

Took a break from working on the demo for my game, cause implementing high scores turned out quite dull. So to have some fun (this hobby is supposed to be fun, right?) I decided to learn about rigging and weight painting for what will eventually be a boss in my game. Was it fun? No. #gamedev

Missed #screenshotsaturday as usual, but today, I made this neat little shield with a noise-based shader, to show that the player is invincible for 2 seconds after returning from dying - which can be significantly longer when slowing down time with Flux Energy! #gamedev #indiedev #madewithunity

There is a tiny image from my game in Debug Magazine #11. I am irrationally proud of it, cause the only reason it's there is cause they asked for indies to post screenshots to them. But still. It's there. In a print magazine. And that just makes me happy 🤗 #GameDev #IndieDev

My first pass at a #Unity shader graph terrain shader for my #shmup, Flux Commander. The shader just picks and blends in textures based on the world position height, but already looks pretty cool to me! Trees by Kenney, textures from cc0-textures.com, a great resource! #screenshotsaturday #gamedev

Always a day late for #ScreenshotSaturday, since Sunday is usually a better day for #GameDev! Have updated the boss model and textures for my upcoming demo, quite happy with it for now. Also showing off how the bullet time can be quite useful during boss fights!

Current state of the game: There's a life counter now, and you can actually reach a game over state - as demonstrated by my lackluster boss performance below 😅 Working on upping the difficulty a bit, and adding some more enemies is next. #GameDev #MadeWithUnity #IndieDev #SoloDev

Received my first physical Debug Magazine today in the mail, it looks great! I almost never buy magazines anymore, it's a little nostalgic! Reminds me of being 13 and buying Amstrad magazines from the UK. Good times

Have been working on bullet speeds based on animation curves to make for more interesting patterns. The front cannons on this boss uses that for the big bullets that slow down after about half a second. As evidenced by the video, it sure manages to kill me a bunch of times 😂 #GameDev #MadeWithUnity
