I'd think it'd be better to respond and say something like yeah, we took down the face swapping feature because people were being weird with it. or whatever! even if there's no excuse for mishandling users' data.

I don't think the face-swap stuff represents the majority of Secret Desires users, but I do think it was a major draw for a lot of people.

This is obviously virulent misogyny that hurts all women, but it's also deeply disturbing to me that the ai girlfriends in these depictions are East Asian women, specifically. I haven't seen people talking about the racialized aspect of the misogyny and I'm curious if anyone has written about it
