I don’t restrict replies.

Any resemblance to persons living or Dead is purely coincidental.
“Here’s a little skritch on the head to make you feel better from the horrific abuse you suffer.” What a putz.

I think that old saying, “You get the government you deserve”, has outlived its validity. Over half the country DOES NOT DESERVE this government, which was installed; not elected.

Some first world countries actually frown on their politicians and regulatory agencies being bought off by Big Ag, Big Pharma, Big Oil, Big Biz.. Shocking, right?

Unfortunately, that’s probably the least abusive treatment to which they’ll be subjected from then on.

*correction.. 1 year earlier. Sure wish @bsky.app would update with an “Edit” button!

I once had a dream that I sat next to George Harrison on a bus and I told him that I thought his guitar solo in “Something” was, imo, the most gorgeous, greatest guitar solo in modern music.. something I wish I could have told him in real life.

That’s the most well known version of this great song, and I love it. Have you heard this lesser known version done by Jefferson Airplane on their first album 3 years earlier? I find it just as compelling. Features vocalist Signe Anderson, who left the band after that. Replaced by Grace Slick.

Cats are choosey about to whom they show affection. I know the void you must be feeling. Sorry for your loss. 💙

At least now, vegan food is much easier to find, but you still have to be wary of GMO’s and sodium and other not so healthy ingredients in prepared vegan foods. And lab grown meat? No thanks.

So true. We’re up against very powerful entities who are dug in on exploiting every ecosystem and every resource they can to enrich themselves.

I regret not doing it all at once, but once I decided it was time, I never looked back.

Same. They applauded and supported me. I was in my early 20’s when I went vegetarian. It took seeing a video of a cow in a slaughterhouse, and I swore off meat right then and there.. full disclosure.. I still occasionally consumed fish & dairy for while after that. The switch to vegan came later.

Came here to say exactly this ⬆️.
There’s no reason to allow cats roam outdoors. It’s bad for the cats, and it’s bad for the animals they’d instinctively prey upon.

I wasn’t raised vegetarian/vegan, but I was taught the values that ultimately led me that way. 🌱
November 26, 2025 at 7:17 PM
Alas, it’s true. I’ll never regret resolving to eliminate animal products from my diet. I only regret ever including them in the first place.. and that’s the problem, isn’t it?

We’re pretty much indoctrinated from early childhood on, that we NEED meat and dairy in our diets.

I know I sound all gloom & doom.. Humans have done great things. Art, music, science, kindness.. but, thank$ to tho$e who make thing$ happen, or make thing$ not happen, we are failing as custodians of the planet.

SMH.. how some of sickest things we can do to animals become food, even delicacies.. foie gras, live sea creatures, rocky mountain “oysters”, beating frog hearts, cat shit coffee, ffs!!

The day the gene mutated that led to the first human being was a sad, sad day for the planet.

Such an affront to decency, to be insulted or threatened by ANY of the bottom feeding, disgraceful parasites in the basket of deplorables who comprise the current GOP power structure in DC.

It’s a USA thing. Other first world countries frown on Big Pharma, Big Ag, and Big Chem buying off regulatory agencies to look the other way.
