@hankgreen.bsky.social I have a better blind spot than birth rate decline. Tyranny of the majority. Liberals love to talk about what policies would be "best" by their modes of analysis but can't acknowledge that national adoption would _require_ disenfranchising conservatives.

@vaush.gg use of LLMs don't necessarily rot reasoning abilities any more than using a calculator. It could provide more opportunities for critical thinking and discussion if it shifts the focus away from memorization of facts.

I think we can speedrun this tumult, but it involves revolutionary change. The problem is that the number of bad directions we can go in outnumber the good. It's risky, and with risk you need to diversify. We need to find a way for many ways of being to exist at once.

Yes, it's true that red states take more from welfare than blue states. Yes, they do vote against expanding or even keeping those programs. So let's create a union of progressive cities that will do the things the federal government can't and just leave the rural folks out of it.

The probability that the United States will irrevocably change over the next four years is high. There are two things we can do to prepare for the worst. 1) begin the process of building parallel political power structures. 2) begin adopting an alternative to the US dollar.
