I remember seeing Trump Jr's "Triggered" book lying around alone in the bargain section of Books-A-Million.

I haven't seen a single Knives Out movie, but man, it's cool that this became a franchise!

Oh, and my most memorable theater experience? Going to see the first Hunger Games movie with the high school book club I was a part of, along with the book club of another school.

We had the theater to ourselves for this screening, and some of us were a tad rowdy, but man, it was fun!

I think I remember you mentioning this screening in the old Spill review for the movie. 🤘

I've yet to see it...and I dunno if it'd be worth it, if it's reputation is to be believed.

Man, hearing Cargill rag on that movie was something else! In hindsight, that's when I knew Cargill was a bonafide cinephile, 'cause that was such a deep cut choice for the worst of '09.

You guys in the Spill crew made film criticism fun! So many bits from your reviews live rent-free in my head to this day. Plus, it's awesome revisiting said reviews (and pieces of the podcasts) on YouTube from time to time.

Yeah, there's a difference between riffing on a movie and actual criticism of a movie.

I used to enjoy that caustic critic zeitgeist, but in hindsight, said zeitgeist did a lot of damage to media literacy and discourse. I'm glad to be among those who rose above such vitriol in favor of a more chill outlook.

I certainly remember some of your vicious takedowns (Bratz, anyone?), but you being famous for that always seemed strange to me. During your Spill days, I remember you and Co-Host being the ones who found things to like about various movies when the others dunked on them.
