Yeah I understand, the ephemeral nature of what we do in game can tempt us to buy stuff to retain it. Let's hope there are no more wipes between 4.0 and 1.0 and the static server mesh gives us something robust to do.

I don’t mind wipes, but I worry about balancing: A) giving casual spenders a cool, promising experience vs. B) giving whales enough without breaking the game. As an A-type player, I don’t want to log into 1.0 and see the universe already divided by whales, leaving me as their homeless gunner.

It just sounds like a huge mess.. already the race to claim the best plot seems so dumb and reserved for big spenders and hardcore types before it has remotely started.
