I wasn’t thinking it was lighthearted. Knowing it’s not grimdark is enough for me. We are reading Brimstone for our January book club meeting so I need to read this one first. I really just found the dedication to feel dark to me.

I am so sorry for your loss. I experienced a similar loss with my cats in 2015. I still dream of them regularly and miss them everyday. While the loss and missing doesn’t go away it will eventually get easier. Sending you love.
