More proof, if it was needed, that Putin has no desire for peace on anything other than his own outrageous terms. Most of us have known this for years but perhaps now Trump will realize this get off his fat arse & seriously do something to really help Ukraine.

It's beginning to look like the Russian casualties will reach 1.2 million easily by the end of the year, perhaps even by Christmas. I'm rather sad about the number of lives being wrecked, Ukrainian & Russian, civilians & military but one group is to blame, the war criminal Putin & his criminal gang.

As Hungary gets its oil via pipelines, surely these could be cut. It might cause some international problems but the end result would make it worth it.

I hope & 🙏 that this will happen. I'm fairly certain that even without support from the USA it will happen, provided there is continued support from Europe.

What "peace deal"? All I can see is yet another offer of the surrender terms Russia has givy to Ukraine! Who in their right mind would ever accept these? Certainly not Ukraine & I hope not Europe.

From long before his illegal invasion Putin has had one aim, the total obliteration of Ukraine as a nation. The aims of Russia & Putin are identical regardless of what the Ukrainian or Russian peoples want. The Russian govt is one man, Putin, with various slavish mouthpieces!

Putin is still on target for 1.2 million casualties by 01/01/2026! Does Trump & his crew still think Russia's winning? If they genuinely do then they really are fools & if they force this "peace deal" on Ukraine & Europe then Russia will have been handed a pyrrhic victory & WWIII eventually!

This isn't the act of a man trying to negotiate a fair & just lasting peace. But the action of a biased "negotiator" trying to get one side exactly what it wants, at the expense of the other.

Driscoll may perhaps be right but I doubt it. Russia is making small gains in some areas but at a massive price but its attacks on Ukraine's civilians show the extent of its weakness. If it was winning surely Russian boots would be in Kiev by now & they wouldn't need to murder civilians.

I don't see how anyone, apart from Trump & Putin, could be any but sceptical about this so-called "peace plan". Unless of course they are seriously opposed to it, as any thinking person would be.

This is true but parts of Europe are still buying Russian oil & gas, also, according to the Torygraph, Europe is willing to invite Russia back into the G8. All totally doolaly!!!!

You're right, only one man has the power to end this war, Putin, he can simply order his troops to return behind Russia's internationally agreed borders & stay there. Then when they're all back home a peace might possibly be negotiated but only without Trump on Putin's side!!

To achieve a sustainable peace in Ukraine the whole of Europe, including the non-EU countries, must break free of the yoke of the USA. Since the end of WWII the US has controlled Europe! This must end NOW if we're ever to control our own destiny! This war can only end fairly without Trump's "help".
