We were all somehow blindsinded by the kickass theme tune.

Turns out we are playing Imperial guard. I guess there is nothing specifically stating my Imperial Guard trooper can't be a muscly barbarian dude.

Agreed. Last proper campaign I was in (which was before the pandemic) it was good getting everyone to choose a mini that represented them and painting it how they liked. Helped make the character seem a little more real. Although I guess space marines are pretty much 90% just armour and guns.

Decent. Only had a quick game at the end of the night and wasn't until about half way through that I "got it". I'd certainly give it another go. Cards are beautiful though.

Just annoying that one of the reasons I justified the at least one of the big model heavy board games was that I could use them a lot in D&D as well.

I for one support the Out of Wrest Carnival with all my heart.

I wanted to write a magical girl show but based on them 25 years after beating the evil and retiring. They all get called up and have to balance being dead inside middle aged women with office jobs and being Hyper Sweety Team Explosion Force.
