I buy games fairly often but what is this "play games" part? I'm not familiar with it.

I can't speak for Matt but to his point the framing of "this is bad because Metroid isn't like this" doesn't make much sense when the previous Metroid Prime game was at least a few steps in this direction.

People can like or dislike whatever but trying to frame it in that way is a bit frustrating.

I was joking recently that my favorite trilogy of games is Halo 3, ODST and Reach and it becomes less of a joke the more I think about it. What a great time if you were into those games.

God the 360 really hit at just the right time for me. I played countless hours of Halo with friends but also had the cash to pick up a pretty regular stream of games: Mass Effect 1-3, Mirrors Edge, Prince of Persia, CoD4, Left4Dead(!), Assassin's Creed, and of course Geometry Wars 2! Lots of gems.
