Well, I live in Virginia in an area where two historically conservative districts flipped their House seats blue. . .and those were only 2 of the 13 that flipped. So, yeah, nothing typical about last night’s results.

My younger daughter! And it warms this mother’s heart . . .Even with a full-time teaching job, she has read 80 books already this year . . .She was a math major in college, so this pivot into reading was a delightful surprise!

I thought about this last night. As a PSU grad, I wondered aloud how the awful Sandusky mess would have played out if he had been outed for molesting girls rather than boys. Would the girls have been believed?

Americans have been brainwashed into thinking you don’t deserve health care unless you have a full-time job with a company that offers benefits. When I freelanced as a stay-at-home mom and my self-employed husband and I couldn’t get insurance my “best” friend told me to “get a job.”
