yeah that tracks. it's baffling how tightly quackery holds onto our day to day life - people believing bunk and incredibly flawed research about how vaccines "cause" autism, to believing a guy who says dyslexia isn't real is surely right about how to read.

Itsjoeshi - the video uploader - says: "It flies in SV." Luigifan4ever11 says: "Throwing my hat into the ring here - there's birds that can fly for short spurts, but cannot do so for very long. Gallinaceous birds such as chickens and turkeys. Plus Hawlucha's wings give me the impression it's something that's more adept for "flying" by gliding on the wind, rather than flapping it's wings to keep airborne. I know Hawlucha is probably based off of birds that are more adept fliers, but irl animal inspirations tend to be very malleable and not something they tend to stick to 100% (I know design elements that made it make more sense were cut, but we can't get around the fact that Remoraid (a fish) turns into Octillery (an octopus)).
