Society has been gradually devaluing art and artists for a while and we’ve let it happen. There needs to be a change in attitudes, and I think the arts have a lot to learn from how the sports side of the entertainment industry develops and supports their talent.

Society has been gradually devaluing art and artists for a while and we’ve let it happen. There needs to be a change in attitudes, and I think the arts have a lot to learn from how the sports side of the entertainment industry develops and supports their talent.
I think it’s important to ask why athletes are more supported in their industry when compared to the arts. Speaking specifically on the music side, between streaming, 360 deals, ticketmaster/live nation, etc. it seems the industry is designed to exploit the artist.
