I aim to explore how online sex workers relate to the concept of work, to contribute to the ongoing advocacy for sex work to be recognised as a legitimate form of employment, promoting a work environment where sex workers are free from discrimination, isolation, and harm.

I follow the principles that:
- Research needs to be done WITH sex workers rather than ON sex workers.
- Sex work IS work and should not be criminalised.
- Research needs to be done WITH sex workers rather than ON sex workers.

My name is Tom, I am a PhD student at the University of East Anglia. I am based in the Psychology department, with interests in gender psychology, qualitative research and teaching. In 2024, I presented my ideas for this research at the UEA SSF conference (pictured above!).
