Then a plan was hatched, with campaign reps getting packs from local Lush stores. The packs were brilliant. And in the end there were 47 students, so a significant cost. The local staff were excited to be making a difference.

The students were not permitted by the Israeli government to travel with any possessions. They would rely on the brilliant Red Cross and whatever local volunteers could provide. So perhaps Lush could provide a welcome pack to these students. I received an answer within a day.

By that time, the campaign had mostly succeeded but was still chalking up additional wins. It becomes clear from speaking with Palestinians in Gaza who have been displaced that they long to be able to have a comfortable shower and feel good after having those everyday experiences taken from them.
