The soil god nourishes the soil with the death of others. When Ed tried to negotiate Lach's curse, she didn't ask Ed to give up his own life as payment, she demanded the life of someone he loves. Also, Lach's generational curse is all about other people's deaths.

Ok ok one more analysis. The sea god nourishes the ocean with his own death. When Oskar wished for something unselfish but extremely expensive, Oskar also had to give up his own life for it.

Each character has an important connection/interaction with a respective god. Imagine Lach meeting the third god and seeing himself in them and instead of fear or respect, he feels pity and understanding.

Honestly I'd rather look at straight up porn. It's not just the basic anatomy, it's the flab underneath those clothes, the wacky perspective and the body to body interaction that I actually need to study

now that I think of it, it kinda has some parallels with Lachlann. It's unwittingly born into a world with tremendous power, naive, wants to be loved, and is unaware of the consequences of its own actions.

yeah.. maybe I'll just have Lachlann name it

I was thinking it has always existed but never in a focused, intentional way until humans started playing around with nuclear energy. The "melted" part was just based on the outcome of unleashing its power but now that I think of it, idk if it's a fitting name.. hmmm
