and no matter what happens next, this did wonders for his future. because lando just talked yesterday that he's so much better at bouncing back this year because now he can tell himself "you've bounced back before, so you can do it again." oscar didn't have that experience, but he does now.

he really said i might be effectively out of the championship but not mathematically so don't count me out just yet.

he never does it back to lando because he's too introverted and socially awkward for that. ;_; tl;dr lando might get the championship but i fear he also might end up being pretty touch-starved by the end of his multi-year contract with oscar ;_;

and lando is also one of the guys on the grid who love greeting each other by pinching/slapping each other's bums and carlos and daniel were playful like that too and you can tell oscar loves it when lando does it to him, he's got that "lando treats me as one of the boys :)" smile, but then

and then oscar shows up and he's younger than lando, but he's taller and everyone is talking about how mature he is and he's the oldest brother of three sisters and he's just used to letting them have their own way bc it's easier that way. and so he indulges lando too. lando is still the maknae.

like when the drivers had the guess each other's heights, they put "little lando" near the bottom of the height chart, even though he's had a growth spurt since, bc this is how they perceive him. and so even at 21 for commentators lando was still "little lando norris".

also lando saying bb oscar is "only, like 15" when oscar was 21 and lando had just turned. 23. (lando being with the team for so long and since he was so young that he'd always been the baby of the team and the veteran at the same time. and then wide-eyed rookie oscar became the maknae.)

and then he gets in through the side door and everyone is 'haha you're late' and 'lando would like to point out that he arrived before you'. his first day of work and lando is already trying to mark his territory or something. not even he knows what he's doing.
