Perhaps if the education system encouraged primary school kids to enjoy books rather than analysing sentences in them for frontal adverbs, books would be more inviting rather than just something else to be tested on and fear failing at.

UK schools are broken and seem to be populated by teachers who have no understanding that the anxiety crisis affecting children is a product of the target driven environment schools have become. Passion for learning replaced by teaching just to pass tests and fostering a fear of failure.
