Yeah the combat system probably won't translate, but I like having the side quests, a storyline that isn't just "beat the elite 4", and especially the new shiny pokemon mechanics. The fact that there was no shiny spawn noise in Scarlet and Violet bothered me soooooo much

Honestly makes me excited for gen 10. I hope they keep going in this new direction!
