I'm watching the new Ken Burns special The American Revolution. Right now our government is acting like the British. The shot heard round the world came after years of mistrust and an arrogant assumption that the crown could control its subjects. This regime has lost the support of the People.

I'm watching the new Ken Burns special The American Revolution. Right now our government is acting like the British. The shot heard round the world came after years of mistrust and an arrogant assumption that the crown could control its subjects. This regime has lost the support of the People.
I would have thought by now that we'd have seen a server house accounts for each cultural tribe's point of view they want to protect. It's like having multiple "town squares" protected within a walled citadel.

From a societal standpoint (big picture), I think it's wild to see people who I have NEVER interacted with block me. Why? Either because I'm on a list. Or they are such snowflakes who can't be bothered hearing an alternative opinion. It's their way of punishing a messenger.

There's basically no Bluesky administrative oversight. It's become too big, they have no revenue, and they never fulfilled their promise persue independent or democrative nodes/servers. Good technology but without full execution what makes BS functionality better than Twitter?
