Been using it with Positron for the last few days and it’s really helpful. Only difficulty was wanting to override for cases like tribble() and I see you cover that in the post - thanks!

Maybe I’m missing something, but is the full text of the proposed city charter amendments available somewhere? Or are they not actually drafted yet?

This Elif Batuman piece is interesting on this topic; I like the bit near the end about how Balzac couldn’t have made up all that furniture www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v3...

Simple rice cookers use a thermostat that keeps the temp just under the boiling point of water. When all water is absorbed and the temp starts to climb (water can’t get hotter than 100C but burnt rice can) it senses the higher temp & shuts off. But I bet at elevation the set target temp is too high!

Thank you for this! I was bummed to have to miss it and it’s so unexpected and awesome to have a summary!

I’m realizing that I think of the narrative voice of GE books as just being George Eliot herself despite the occasional personification of the narrator. It’s partly that the pseudonym makes the author more of a fictional character already, but also the benevolent omniscience just seems so authorial.
