A little something arrived in the post today. Actually, it's a pretty sizeable something and hard to do a flip-through with one hand - but you'll hopefully get the gist. I think @Darren Naish and I can feel pretty pleased with how it looks and can't wait for it to be released into the wild!

This paper has a lot of nice data that does seem to indicate an overlooked distinctiveness, but to do taxonomic revisions without any genetic data on living species should not be a thing in 2025. Even if a species is so rare that such data is difficult to obtain it would seem better to wait.
There is a recent proposal to classify the Javan rhinoceros as its own distinct genus Eurhinoceros. So five species in five genera of extant rhino.
