As announced by the UN on 12 January 2026, the #UNGA has endorsed the unification of the #Peacebuilding Support Office and three offices within the former @orolsi.bsky.social ; Justice and Corrections, Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration and Security Sector Reform.

In the margins of the DDR Symposium, together with @denmarkinny.bsky.social, the #DDR section convened a “Friends of #Haiti” meeting to discuss #BINUH’s DDR/CVR/WAM efforts.

Participants reaffirmed that rebuilding trust & fostering Haitian-led peace efforts are key to lasting stability.

Even without peace deals, people can choose peace.

#DDR tool "support to disengagement and voluntary exits from armed groups" helps individuals safely exit armed groups, including those designated as terrorist orgs.
