I dunno. Last time I was there was to turn around and come back on account of my buddy who was driving somehow got us into a lane to the Peace Bridge. That was (ahem) years ago.

When I lived in Dunedin, NZ, it seemed weird to hear about "winds from the south" and think, "shit! Cold blast heading our way!" Then we'd be reminded, seeing the yellow-eyed penguins out sunbathing.

According to my handy dandy clock, 3am is indeed morning. I think our high temperature for the past week has been 58 degrees. Try as we did, we could not coax out an extra 2 degrees. Meanwhile, Canada keeps breathing on us.

You may never know what effect your words had but I'd say he needed to hear them. Kind words, genuine and freely given, seem increasingly rare in this day and age.
