seniors, yes, sure, I’ll concede that. But if f you have a huge house, cars, IRAs and savings / pension? HARD NO.
A better message would be to stop capping Social Security taxes.

OpenAI is not profitable and doesn't expect to be until 2030. Anthropic is also in the red. Thinking Machines just put out its first product. That hasn't stopped them from spending. Anthropic recently said it would invest $50 billion in new data centers. Sam Altman, OpenAI's celebrity chief executive, said his company was committed to spending $1.4 trillion on computing power for its A.I. pursuits.

TriMet's research indicated that most car trips on 82nd are already about one mile or less -- his assertion that the street is used primarily to traverse the full corridor and travel long distances isn't supported by the research.

The richest 10% of US households-those making roughly $250,000 or more-now account for almost half the country's consumer purchases, according to Moody's Analytics. It's an astonishing level of disproportionality that's grown steadily since the 1990s, when the wealthiest decile's share of consumer spending was closer to a third.

It’s no surprise I had the only bike at Kaiser Sunnyside today. It takes six buttons and seven minutes of waiting to cross the street and two freeway ramps to go from the hospital to the other side of I-205. And that’s on a bike, not walking.

I preordered mine a while back on Bookshop.org! Cars cost an average of $12,000 a year to operate and I want a better life for us all than being dependent on a car for daily transportation!

Was over at PCC Southeast tonight, and for a campus that suffers from big car parking problems, and is also served by multiple bus lines, I DON’T LOVE the fact that their “welcome to campus” messaging is all about driving a car. It also has good bike parking there — maybe not so car-centric?

It truly bums me out to get anti-heat pump propaganda in the mail from a utility that I have to pay as long as I limp along with a gas stove. My heating bills with a heat pump are significantly less than when I had a gas furnace in this house.
