Currently reading Ramesh Menon's Modern Rendering of Mahabharata to cure my obsession of a character in a gacha game I only touched once and never again.
From the suit and music alone after Baku transformed, I can tell this series was conceived for the Shin Kamen Rider movie audience. I wanted to check out Gotchard now that dust has settled but this was locally accessible so I just bit the bullet.

Not bad.

I love how he fought back once he realized its a dream and then when the Nightmare tried to break him, he went against all odds and found his center.

"Stop projecting on me. I know my heart. This is my dream."

So Baku is a maladaptive dreamer with a positive outlook in life. Good for him. He's better than most of us.

I never expected the main protagonist to be a James Bond nerd. That's hilarious.

Been wondering what the action flick parody was all about.

My local anime distributor suddenly just broadcasts a Kamen Rider series out of nowhere and it's the latest one at that! What kind of sorcery? I'm not gonna question it.

I get to enjoy and observe what's happening without splitting my attention to subtitles. Really convenient.

The translated onscreen text was fun to see. The little things is I what enjoyed watching Ultraman Blazar for in the Ultraman Connection website back then.

The English cast nailed the actor's performance to a tee. Kosei is even funnier in the dub, seeing him freak out gives me joy. Omega hits that dazed amnesiac alien vibe really well, with moments of clarity.

I thought my Tokusatsu days were over for the moment but apparently not. It's fun to relive Omega's first episode, the localization team outdid themselves in giving a full fledged adaptation that enhances the viewer's experience in the same level as a japanese local.

Krishna conspiring with Arjuna to make Subhadra his wife, by fooling Balarama with his wise sage disguise.

This is the funniest bit so far, I am laughing my ass off on how Arjuna keeps up the facade with great effort.

Bros before hoes - Krishna boldly declaring to his wife and stealing away in a stormy night after their lovemaking to go fetch Arjuna.

Krishna's consistent priority being his beloved cousin cracks me up. Why is he like this. Even his wife was resigned to his antics and just went to sleep.

Arjuna being so enamoured at the thought of Subhadara, called out to Krishna to put him out of his lovesick misery.

What a loser. No amount of epithets is gonna save you, man.

Glad to know Arjuna wasn't so far gone that he wouldn't keep his word of letting his son be kept as a maternal heir, visiting his child for his important day.

Wait. I just realized Babhruvahana is Arjuna's eldest son???! Whoa. There's now two grandchildren of Kunti running around by my counting.

Just one more thing to compare and contrast with to see which version of the tales would be more to my taste.

Crocodiles turning into dazzling asparas. My hunch was right. Arjuna truly is a Novel Protagonist.

I wonder what it was like for the other versions? This felt mean-spirited. At least her son Babhruvahana was so popular he got a spin off of his own, since he isn't tied to the war that killed off his half brothers.

In sharp contrast, Arjuna getting seduced by Chitrangadaa's fabricated looks and then feeling betrayed when she faltered in maintaining said beauty so he left. It was a short lived disappointing romance.

I kinda love their flirtatious interactions, just a nice little fun romp between consenting people who are attracted to each other.

Uloopi granting her beloved with a boon that grants him invincibility in water as a farewell gift. Ohhh Uloopi.

I'm so excited for Arjuna's solo exile saga and it didn't disappoint. Uloopi!!!!

Arjuna plucking some lotuses in the Gange river and ended up being the flower be plucked by an enamoured Naga Princess to be squirreled to her chambers.
