even as a local, it’s super frustrating when I go to Sakuracon and PAX and there isn’t ANYTHING to do or eat nearby if we get out of a panel or activity too late into the evening

I feel bad for the ppl who come in from out of town and stay at one of the hotels nearby who don’t realize this!

close to Pike Place on one side, and then close to the convention center on the other side, two chain movie theaters, easy access via transit, very walkable, access to Capitol Hill/Pioneer Square/CID

The only thing it has going against it is lack of stuff to do after 6 PM

I wish Seattle P&R got more funding to help move Westlake Park along more efficiently. It COULD be a great tourist area, especially around the holidays. So many storefronts there SHOULD be considered prime real estate!
Westlake and Pacific Place should be BUSTLING :( there’s so much potential!

I’m grateful that we live in a time where some of these more ambitious games ARE given the wiggle room to fail financially, but still find a loyal following with different groups of ppl, whether it be through tournaments, speedrunning, etc.

IMO “bad” art is better than no art at all

lots of folks (especially those of us with veteran discounts) still remember a time where there was not an insane volume of titles, physical and otherwise, being released every single week.
It was more realistic to expect devs to try to appeal to as many ppl as possible for their ONE release a year
