I bet this is gonna be unpopular but I kinda dig it. I've been enjoying the shorter campaign tend in gaming lately (slay the spire, arcs, etc). #paxunplugged

...then it immediately puts them in a game together where only one of the four can survive. And it's more of a drawn out suspense as you watch it play out thinking they'll all find a way out, but no, only one of the four "main" characters really does make it out of the first game alive.

It was more sudden in Derry. Getting more spoilery:

I'm referring to a death games show (along the lines of Squid Game) where it spends the whole first episode establishing a group of friends, showing flashbacks to all their shitty lives, showing us how much they care about one another and regrets.

It's a non-english Netflix show. Just released another season after a couple years' break.

There's another show that did very much the same thing recently (I won't mention what and spoil that show, iykyk I guess) so that dampened it some for me. Still a fun way to start the series though.
