That's fair, especially going back to your original point. This city is far from perfect, but the people who fix it effectively are people who proudly call themselves Washingtonians, regardless of how they got here.

It sucks. My dad worked for Barry for two terms, knew city government extremely well. When I was looking at jobs with the city, he explicitly told me he regretted his service and that I should look elsewhere
