If you like low-fidelity 3D video games and art, there is a very good chance we'll get along. Also, I use Blender.
Have this gargoyle cat. She normally does nothing but stare at people in the hallway. I managed to catch her being cute.

I can't imagine what you must be going through, so hopefully this makes you day at least a little bit better.

That polygon you're wondering about is on the back of the grip, which is meant to give the pistol a more rounded silhouette. I've circled it.

Also, I tried out your suggestions, and I think it loses too much thickness for it to be worth it. If I were making a LOD model, I would do those first.

I'd love to hear any potential suggestions you have to cut down the polygon count. Here's the pistol with the wireframe turned on. Currently 106 triangles (minus the "muzzle flash").

Keep in mind, with the limitations I'm working under, transparency isn't possible.

This is gonna be the muzzle flash for this gun whenever it fires. Due to strict polygon limits, I only had one singular triangle to spare.

Can't forget the other sticker.

I wanna see more cool fake reflections in video games. I hate screen-space reflections, cubemaps CAN look terrible if used in the wrong context, and raytracing is inaccessible.

The art of making fake reflections is so rare now, that one of the only modern examples I can think of is Atomic Heart.

The most baffling thing about Board Game Top Shop is that it's genuinely great.

It's basically the simplified rules from Fortune Street, but you're buying mall shops. The music is great, the visuals are cute and charming, I like it!

Which begs the question, WHY WAS THE FRONT COVER A 240p JPEG-

Even better, this is what Seventh Cross looks like.

Seventh Cross: Evolution hooked me for a different reason. The case I found in the store didn't have a back cover, but it DID have the manual. So, curious, I looked through the manual, and found this:

If "How to Play on the Screen" didn't hook me enough, "360º full polygon fields" absolutely did.

With Spider... I mean, the front cover is a spider holding a shotgun and a combat knife. I can't NOT pick it up!

With SwagMan, I took a look at the back of the case, and...

I'm sold.

I think I have a new fixation. I keep finding these old games that give off really questionable first impressions in one way or another.

It could be the name, the pictures on the back, a line of text in the manual, or even the front cover.

I can't resist trying these games out, and I need more.
