If it were conducted honestly it would, but of course it is a political and not a legal process. But best plan would be to stick with the simplest possible articles of impeachment and not try to get into unnecessary legal or factual nuance is all

7/ As recently as yesterday, Trump was pressuring members of his own party in another branch of government not to join the petition to release the Epstein records which is now possible with the long overdue inauguration of Adelita Grijalva yesterday. Impeachable AF!

*not historically impeachable, and probably best to stick with the obvious kill shots in the coverup

6/ Also never forget that DOJ wasted the time of three federal judges seeking Epstein grand jury transcripts--something they knew that they would never be able to get, and didn't--just so that they could claim that Trump didn't appear in them (which means nothing)

DOJ goes 0-3 in requests to unseal Jeffrey Epstein grand jury materials
Two other federal judges already denied DOJ’s requests to publicly release the material.

Sadly not impeachable, but they should be mentioned as often as possible during this impeachment anyway

5/ The single worst thing? Trump sending former defense attorney/current DOJ henchman Todd Blanche to record Epstein's accomplice swearing her assurance of Trump's innocence in exchange for a prison transfer. We tried to convey to non-lawyers just how bad this was here:

4/ We *know* that the FBI tasked ONE THOUSAND agents with scouring the Epstein files over the course of a few weeks in March, and that they were ordered to flag any which mentioned Trump. That last part should be impeachable by itself!

FBI personnel were told to flag Epstein files mentioning Trump, Senate Democrat says
Sen. Dick Durbin questioned DOJ leadership over their handling of the Epstein files, including reports that FBI personnel were told to "flag" any mentions of Trump.

3/ Start with AG Pam Bondi, who should be impeached along with Trump for an absurdly corrupt attempt to limit release of Epstein material and close things out as quietly as possible under Trump's explicit direction. The resulting joke of an FBI memo speaks for itself

2/ N. B.: Despite dumbass Republican efforts to impeach Joe Biden for whatever it was they were trying to impeach him for, no federal official has ever been impeached for misconduct occurring before they took office (unless that was while holding a different federal office), so we'll stick with that
