Still thinking about those hand-dived scallops from our #DivedNotDredged lunch at The Gannet last weekend 🍽️😋

A huge thank you again to chefs Peter McKenna and Calum Montgomery for an incredible menu that showed just how good sustainable seafood can be and why how we catch our seafood matters.

Spain’s marine protected areas (MPAs) are still being decimated by bottom trawling.

We took legal action last year but Spain has issued more fishing licenses for bottom trawling inside these MPAs since then.

So we’re going back to court with @oceanaeurope.bsky.social to protect these zones.

#DYK seagrass is one of very few marine flowering plants that grows in UK waters? With green leafy shoots and tiny scale-like flowers, it produces seeds that germinate in sand, allowing the plant to thrive in the clean, clear water of shallow sandy bays and sheltered sounds 🌱🌊

Happy #WorldBaskingSharkDay to these gentle giants who, lucky for us, frequent Scottish waters every summer. Did you know they're the second largest fish in the world?!

They might look a little spooky or have some weird habits but these marine creatures are some of the most fascinating in Scotland’s seas. Any others you'd add to the list?
