But from the point I'm at, it got me thinking about how much I consume, in terms of low effort, high reward stimulus. Which I thought was a good enough reason to recommend it.

I think its a good read to get your foot in the door regarding overconsumption of dopamine. But yeah, you're right it's a bit pop sciency.

Yeah, detoxing is a myth. Even if you did detox, chances are you'll overstimulate yourself on your return.

I'd argue dopamine has been weaponized against our own minds. Virtually turning us into zombies. Except instead of brains we're hungry for our next dopamine hit.

With each hit of dopamine, our tolerance goes up, so we need more to feel the same. Eventually nothing will be able to satiate us.

I see you've been talking about dopamine in a couple of your posts. I highly recommend the book Dopamine Nation by Anna Lembke. It goes into our mentality regarding dopamine and the overconsumption of dopamine related activities.

Thank you. I have just realised that I never deleted the account I bought the motherboard on which I thought I did. Going to attempt to RMA. Also I've only had the board 11 months apparently. I've never had a piece of tech fail that hard on me in such a short span of time.

Also my current case has about 4mm of clearance for my GPU iirc.

For the mobo I'm eyeing the A stock b850 pro a. It has the features I need while being inexpensive.
Case I'm looking at Jonsbo D32 pro. Honestly it's mostly because I like the way it looks

No, but I think I'm going for an MATX board as it gives me an excuse to change my case. Reason I want to change case is my tempered glass is touching my CPU cooler unless I barely tighten the screws that hold the glass. I've got an old coolermaster h212 (the silver unpainted one) it's a bit sketch

I think what I'll do for now is buy a new one on Amazon (don't like Amazon but it's easiest to refund on for me), if it still doesn't work, I'll return it and reconsider all my life choices.

But yeah even using the bios flash tool gives me the same outcome as before.

I think this confirms that it's the board causing the issue. Must have just delt the final blow to the board while troubleshooting earlier.

I hadn't considered that I had potentially corrupted the bios. You might be cooking there.

I do have a spare flash drive, I haven't tried a flashback before so I'm not too sure how it works. Can I perform it if I can't get to bios?
