modeling me characters part 3
today i did my umbreon fisherman guy, lexa
to celebrate finishing this model, i made a small, basic microwave and scaled it up to lexa's size so i could microwave him

his outfit is pretty basic, with just a steel breastplate and fingerless gauntlets for armor, a gray, long-sleeved shirt without a left sleeve, black pants, and knee-high leather boots
also he has white hair that partially covers his right eye and a gray bandanna

the main new details here are his tail and the thingy on his hair on the side of his head (i can imagine exactly what it is, but i don't really know how to describe it other than it's like a downwards-facing ponytail with a lavender colored ring; also, he has it on his left side too)
this view also shows how his breastplate accounts for his tail

the microwave itself is a very basic gray microwave; as i said in the main post, i just made a small microwave and scaled it up to fit lexa
anyways, i mainly put him in a microwave to take out the built-up frustration i had from making the ears
meaning, he deserves it :D
though, after doing that, i realized that i'm putting metal in the microwave because his breastplate, so he might explode
oh well

modeling my dnd characters part 2!
today i did one of my first characters, snom
this time, i didn't really need to do any modeling since he has a pretty normal body
however, he does have a second pair of arms, which while i have modeled them in the past, i revamped them to make them more accurate...

he's a thri-kreen that's based on the domesticated silk moth
he doesn't really wear anything because thri-kreen can change colors to camouflage, plus he's fluffy
and his left main arm is a cybernetic arm that's pretty much just the rocket arm from metal gear solid v

this shows his wings in all their glory
and also shows how plain his back is (there basically isn't anything other than wings and fluff)
i mean, if he had his equipment, some of that would be on his back, so yeab

a closer-up front view of snom that's a little bit to his right side
with the wings removed, this view more clearly shows his main arms on top compared to his smaller secondary arms on the bottom

a funny thing i'm working on is modeling my dnd characters because i wanna directly compare their heights
today, i finished one of my most recent dnd characters, jack, so to prove it, i gave him shotguns
he isn't cool enough to quad-wield, but he can still dual-wield
so yeab

after spending a comically long amount of time on this, i got this silly guy done
(some cool info in alt text)

this is lexa, a character i designed for a dnd campaign i joined recently
he’s an umbreon guy (the race is homebrewed) and a fisherman that really likes eating fish
fun fact: i already had the character’s design without clothes made (which is why i went with an umbreon) so i just needed to make the outfit
also another fun fact: i meant to post this yesterday but somehow just didn’t
when i realized this, it was like 2 am and i opened up bluesky just to see i hadn’t posted this so i didn’t feel like posting it until now so yeah
oh yeah also also the vsauce in the background is a painting i made with the paintings++ mod
just like search that up, and you too can own your own vsauce painting (honestly, the mod is pretty cool, plus it works for both fabric and forge; the only thing with it is that it’s only on curseforge, so if you use modrinth it takes a little more time to install)
