General MacArthur was my personal favorite.
A twitter post from 2023 arguing that WWII and Korean War general Douglas MacArthur was secretly trans, featuring neon lines drawn on a black and white photo to highlight his apparently suspiciously wide hips, narrow shoulders, and “braless boobs.” The post seems to be casting doubt on the general’s war record, and also misspells his name.

Oh, I 100% think he read Douglas Adams. His public image is at least 60% Zaphod Beeblebrox. The US is currently overrun with dudes who read classic SF&F and took exactly the wrong messages from it.

They join the many, many others who do the same with philosophy, science, and history books.
