I post facts about environmental laws, regulations, and policies that protect our public lands. This is my fight; my small part of the resistance against Facists and Oligarchs.
Expect lawsuits if Superintendents lose their jobs over this. AND, expect lawsuits from employees who receive an evaluation that doesn't match the benchmark standards.

This goes against the directive from Deputy Director of Operations at NPS to score everyone no better than a "fully successful". Superintendents were directly threatened with their job if they don't fall in line.

Thank you. Been saying this, too, for far too long. NPR was where I first heard a news outlet use the term "post-truth", and that was back in 2018 or 2019. Yet, here we are!

Reports are coming in from federal employees at the NPS that the performance appraisals for employees will be "calibrated" and no one is allowed to receive the highest rating. Any Suprrintendent who doesn't comply will be replaced (fired?).

Ratings are also used to determine any end of year awards for well-performing employees.

These ratings are rumored to be used for future RIFs, and this administration wants a record to say most employees are not high performing.

DOGE isn’t gone.
Ask any Fed who had a position affected by them.

They’re embedded, in positions where they cannot be fired.

A man who sees his power collapsing and is trying to claw it back. This is weakness, not strength.

As s fed employee, we are coming through a huge backlog of work, checking our earning and leave statements for accuracy, and trying to get back to the peoples' business without drawing too much attention to ourselves.

This is entirely gross. In fact, I am so mortified that I cannot think of a proper word better than gross. Jaw-drop moment. 😵‍💫😮

I agree Eric. However, the cynicism exists because of a long pattern of double standards and the terrible way news media have covered Trump. So, I would say it's not knee-jerk.

Definitely great journalists, but news media need to come to terms with the fact that tooo many report for clicks $$$

Well, Biggs was certainly one of them. Biggs asked Trump for a preemptive pardon during Trump's first term.

So many people have been fighting so hard. Canvassing, protesting, calling, writing. So many Federal employees have sacrificed in hopes that you were finally going to stand up for every day Americans and push back on Trump.

8 Senators threw away everything. You couldn't stop them?
