Surprised Nintendo allowed a “competing” racer to be made when MK World just dropped. But Kirby Air Riders is so unique in how it approaches the genre that it’s comfortably its own thing.

You can tell this is a passion project that Sakurai deserved to make for his diehard fans. The game feels niche and specific in a way that I’m not surprised to see lukewarm critical reception. And I’m curious how well it will sell. It’s unapologetically its own fun, chaotic whirlwind of a racer. 🔥

That’s tough RDR2’s open world is on another level. Ghost’s is very straightforward in comparison even a little assassins creedy. For me the great gameplay and story makes up for it tho.
